Tri Smiles Foundation was started one rainy day in Miami at the Key Biscayne Trilogy Triathlon. Tri Smiles was created to help disabled athletes live an active lifestyle. It is a blessing for a parent to watch their child grow up, move out, and take care of them when they are old. Not all stories are so picture perfect. The CDC estimates 1 in 3 children are born with a major skeletal birth defect or deficiency. Of these children that survive, few ever leave their house and families rarely know any better.

Tri Smiles was founded to help bring awareness to these families and provide the means for their children to compete in everyday events such as triathlons, marathons, 5ks, cycling rides and much more. There is no limit what their will can achieve and these disabled athletes are the most inspirational athletes.

Dr. Watts started triathlons in remembrance to his grandfather, Jacques Amiel. He was a marathoner in Montreal, Canada and through his runs he was able to inspire others and leave a legacy of nothing but love, family, and motivation. Today, Dr Watts hopes to continue his legacy by helping others through charities, his foundation, and many others.

There is no limit to the vision of Tri Smiles. It is a foundation that purely gives back. Please visit www.TriSmiles.com to learn more, or ask Dr Watts and his team how to get involved. Together, we can make this world a better place.
